My Values

We are One Family

Stewardship is our responsibility

Leadership is listening

Our community may hold differences, but what unites us is a common purpose rooted in resilience, growth, and respect. As we grow, we must make room for Tribal members at every age to participate and thrive. No one should be excluded.

Leadership is listening

Stewardship is our responsibility

Leadership is listening

Good leadership starts with humility and a willingness to hear every voice. I lead by asking questions, being present, and building trust.

Stewardship is our responsibility

Stewardship is our responsibility

Stewardship is our responsibility

The decisions we make today shape what future  generations will inherit. I believe in protecting and strengthening the Tribe’s assets—our land, our enterprises, and our culture.

Dear Tribal Members

Thank you for your letter.

It’s the perfect opportunity to address som of the questions you raised and questions others may also share.

You’re absolutely right: I am a different kind of leader. For the past 20 years, I’ve been commuting 560 miles to leave my immediate family and serve my Rincon family. During that time, I’ve traveled, pursued education, built businesses (and closed some), forged relationships, strategized with fellow leaders, and dedicated countless hours to advancing the well-being of our Tribe.

Now that I’m an empty-nester, my fire to serve burns stronger than ever. I don’t believe in entitlement, anonymous letters, or “swooping in.” I believe in transparency, honesty, hard work, and dedication. I support our sovereignty through financial stability, using our resources to protect the Rincon Reservation, our water rights, our culture, and our people.

The weight I carry is the deep sense of responsibility I feel to make tomorrow better than today. My credentials aren’t superficial—they’re earned, rooted in hard work, and ultimately God-given, because I am a Rincon Indian.

My Journey

I have been serving the Rincon Tribe for 20 years.

I've LISTENED, I've LEARNED, and I've GROWN
